Brits merk schrapt alle modellen behalve I-Pace

The British luxury brand is making losses and is unable to sell its cars. So something has to be done. Thierry Bolloré, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover, is a man of drastic measures.

To the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, Bolloré says that all current Jaguar models will no longer have a successor. Only the I-Pace will remain. Jaguar is working on its own platform, called Panthera. Based on it, there will be a series of new models.

‚Buyers like Jaguar, but still go for Audi or BMW‘
„If you listen to buyers in the premium segment, they think Jaguar is nice and beautiful and interesting, but they end up buying an Audi or BMW. That’s our problem. People buy originals. We are not original. So Jaguar’s positioning has to be different.“
